  • I have conducted a # of root-cause analyses and psychosocial autopsies of active non-military patients. I also conduct clinical research on combat trauma. Those who serve in such zones present with multiple morbidity inc. complex PTSD and compacted grief.

    The most common elements of suicide are the following:
    Male, Access to weapons, Alcohol consumption, the "suicidal triad" (hopelessness, helplessness and worthlessness. I've identified the "point of no return" when the person believes they and others will be better off dead. I've never encountered an impulsive action!
